Check out my Google Ads conversion tracking tutorial for 2022. I show you how to track a confirmation page or a thank you page as a conversion in your Google Ads account. There are different ways to track conversions, but I will show you how to do it with Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, and Google Analytics Universal. Video Chapters:

23:20 How to use Google Analytics (UA) to track Google Ads conversions You need to start by creating a Google Ads account, a Google Tag Manager (GTM) account, a Google Analytics 4 account, and a Google Analytics Universal Analytics account. Then, you need to have a page on your website that people are redirected to after they submit your lead form or complete an order. From there, you need to install Google Tag Manager on your website, install Google Analytics 4, and install Universal Analytics as well. You can install Google Analytics using Google Tag Manager. Next, you need to set-up a Google Analytics 4 event through your Google Tag Manager account. You can set a trigger every time someone visits your confirmation page. When you name that event, you need to then complete the tag and publish the GTM workspace. Then, you need to create a new conversion in Google Analytics 4 and give it the same name as the event you created in the previous step. Now that you have a new conversion in your GA4 account, you are ready to link your Google Ads and Google Analytics 4 accounts. Then, you can go to the conversion settings page, create a new conversion action, and import your conversion from Google Analytics 4. Now, you are ready to optimize for your conversion goal with your campaigns.
