How To Avoid Losing Search Traffic During Google’s Core Updates



Google recently released a new article on their Official Google Webmaster Central Blog to tell people more about core updates and how they work. They also gave webmasters and website owners some ideas so they can avoid losing traffic and avoid losing search engine rankings when there are new updates. I tried to pull out some of my main takeaways and some questions you should ask yourself about your own website and your own content. My goal is to help you avoid losing traffic when Google has core updates. The key is to continue to focus on long-term marketing strategies like creating relevant, useful, comprehensive and researched content. Your page title should be descriptive and it should not be exaggerated or over the top to drive more clicks. Does The Author or Website Have Expertise on the Subject? Does the website and the author of the specific article have demonstrated knowledge on the subject that is being covered. Is The Content Easy To Read? Content needs to be free of grammatical errors, needs to avoid having too many ads, and needs to be easy to read on a mobile device. Is The Content The Best Solution on the Internet? If you compare your content to similar content by your competitors, which is more comprehensive, useful, relevant, and user-friendly?
