They primarily develop raw land, building residential real estate for China's growing economy and strong housing demand. However they have branched out in the electric car business, bottled water, food/dairy, them park, owning a soccer team and many other ventures. They currently employ around 200,000 people. So there is no doubt that Evergrande going bankrupt would drastically impact the economy in China. If you are investing, in the stock market or have debt on real estate, then this is something you should be aware of. The ripple outcome of this could be drastic. I do not believe we will see a crash in the US, but this is no doubt going to impact many people & financial institutions. It's a crisis. —– —– *Disclaimer* I am not in any way a certified financial advisor, nor do I pretend to be one.
