____________________________________________ The first plugin, Calculated Fields Form. It's one of the easiest ways to create a tool on your website. Tools attract backlinks, visitors, search rankings, just like a Ubersuggest. It's one of the most linked-to sections of the Neil Patel site. Why? Because it's a tool. People love free tools, whether it's calculators for finance, mortgage calculators, nutrition calculators, health calculators, A/B testing calculators. The next plugin I have for you is Title Experiments. It allows you to test click through rates of different title variations of your posts. Remember, eight out of 10 people will read your headline, but only two out of 10 will click through, and read the rest. It's all about your headline, so when you're creating a blog post, I want you to come up with at least five variations, and start testing them, and you can do so through this plugin, because the more clicks you get, the higher your rankings will be. The third plugin Gravity Forms. You want qualified leads for your business, right? I do this at neilpatel.com with a multiple step form. Multiple step form reduces friction, and increases conversion rates usually by 10 plus percent. Gravity Forms allows you to build multi step forms, polls, quizzes and surveys. It's super effective. The next plugin, WP Mail SMTP. It's configured with SendGrid's SMTP. It makes sure that your emails hit customer's inboxes. If you're selling anything through your WordPress site, you usually are sending out emails, and you'll find that they're going to Promotions tab, or Spam tabs. SendGrid offers a hundred free emails a day, and if you use this plugin, it's a great way to make sure their emails hit their inbox. The next plugin, the Yoast SEO plugin. I could go into this one, but it's pretty self explanatory. It does everything that you need from markup to title tags, meta tags, to creating a site map for you that you submit to Google search console. It does most of the stuff you need. Next plugin, Broken Link Checker. This monitors links on your entire website. It detects broken links, and missing images. It prevents search engines from following broken links. You can then use this plugin to quickly edit, and fix the broken links, create a better user experience, and it should help with your rankings in the long run. Another plugin that I love is a RafflePress plugin. It allows you to host giveaways on your website. This helps with virality, right? Because you can do things like when you do a giveaway, you can get more votes through social voting, so you can integrate social media sites, and the more people share it the more votes they get. It also has email integration, so you can send out email blast, and encourage more people to enter in the contests, and giveaways. ____________________________________________ Step 1 – Offer value first. Everyone's trying to convert their visitors into customers. And you can do that. You can try to pitch your brand-new visitors and tell them, "Buy buy buy". And you can show them everything you want. But most of them won't. Why? They don't know you. They don't trust you. Yeah Amazon can get away with this but everyone knows who Amazon is. If you want to do well you got to build relationships first. You got to give them awesome amazing information first that helps them. In other words you got to put them first. So that's why I like creating content. And there's a huge trend that happening right now. If you look at a lot of the ads that are happening on Facebook and Google, people are first driving people to content that educates and then selling them. "Why?" You're probably asking. Not only is it cheaper per click but these visitors are more likely to convert because they're getting to know you first. So help them out first. Give them a ton of valuable information. No one's just going to buy from you without adding value first. When you help them out first they're more likely. Now the other thing you want to do is for all the people who are converting and buying, you want to have a pixel on your site so that way you can create lookalike audiences for both Facebook and Google so they in the future can show your ads to relevant people that are just like the ones who have already purchased. Step 2 – When someone's reading your content give them a little extra in exchange for a small commitment. So what I like doing on the Neil Patel site, and you'll notice this is I have things like quizzes. You take a quiz, you crit it, you go through it, I'll give you some free amazing information as long as you give me your name, email address, and phone number. Why do I do this? Because if you're willing to give me a small commitment it shows that you're interested. We're building a connection, a rapport, its easier then for me to sell you on stuff later on. And you want to go above and beyond, make sure you check out messenger opt-ins or push opt-ins. Like you can do a Facebook Messenger opt-in in exchange for an ebook. You can do the same thing with a push notification. Step 3 – Follow up and nurture your emails. Don't expect people to just automatically convert. You have to nurture even if they opt in. So what I like doing is email sequences. Any email software from ConvertKit to Mailchimp, they all offer this. Cause then when they come back to my site it's easier for me to convert them. I also do push notifications on a regular basis. I'll send them more and more information that helps educate them. Do the same with Facebook Messenger. Every time I release a new blog post, push out through Facebook Messenger. It gets more people back to my site. I'm showing value Step 4 – When someone comes to your website an easy and quick way to build that connection with them is through live chat. So there's tools like Intercom where you build that connection with people really fast in a matter of five minutes. My buddy Yaniv from Nextiva he tells me one third of his sales come from people on the site, one third comes from people dialing into their phone numbers, one third comes from Intercom. ____________________________________________ Step 1 – Build your account for one specific problem. In other words, you want to solve one problem for one audience. It's really hard to just be an influencer just because your life is cool, or you have some cool pictures of yourself that are half naked. That doesn't really work these days anymore, and I wouldn't recommend that. Solve one problem for one audience. When you do that, you're going to have a super focused community, so when you pitch products and services to them, they're much more likely to convert. The second tip I have is differentiate your account. Don't just do what everyone else is doing. If you see everyone else posting the same type of content, if you do the same thing, you won't do well. Once you've figured out what's working, the stuff that is, double down on it. What doesn't perform well, stop doing it. Now, once you've figured out the formula what's working well, you need to go back and retest this every few months, the reason being is Instagram's constantly changing their algorithm. Step 3 – Run ads on Instagram to your top-performing content pieces. That way, the stuff that's already doing well, you're going to grow more awareness, more followers, you're going to get in front of more people who are much more likely to convert into customers. Step 4 – Start running giveaways and promotions and challenges. You're probably wondering, Giveaways only work if you're giving away something that's very valuable and super related to your niche. Step 5 – Sponsored posts on other accounts. So, there's other influencers within your niche. If you can do sponsored posts on their accounts and promote your profile, you're going to build a bigger, more loyal base within your exact space. And when people are doing those sponsored posts, make sure that in their bio, they include that you're running a contest and a giveaway and people should look there and click through so they can go over back to your profile and your website of course as well. So the people who are doing this on their profile, they need to change their URL to your site URL. And as I mentioned, don't do it for random accounts, has to be super relevant. I can't emphasize that enough. Step 6 – Leverage micro-influencers to sell your products or services. There's a lot of companies out there on Instagram that are crushing it, especially niches like health and fitness or fashion. Micro-influencers on the other hand, even when I was talking to him about this, he has a high conversion rate from micro-influencers. And there's a lot of sites that can help you find the right influencers. Such as influence.co. It's a great site to find very targeted influencers. Step 7 – Find affiliate products that can be very valuable to your audience. ____________________________________________ The first thing I'm excited for in 2020 is an omni-channel approach. I've been talkin' about this a lot in 2019. In 2020, we're going to see this more than ever. Now, yeah, you can be like, "Yeah, I make "good money from SEO. "I could make good money from Pay Per Click." Which supposedly by 2020, according to Comscore, half the searches will be voice related. That's why I'm excited about omni-channel approach. Yeah, sure, the existing channels that you and I are familiar with, they are saturated. But there's always these new channels that are coming up that aren't as competitive. The second thing I'm excited about is content marketing has gone way above and beyond just text-based content. According to Myles, roughly 21% of the results that show up in a Google listing are video-based. Did you know that Google also ranks podcasts? They can transcribe your podcast and show it within the search results. That means now if you want results from SEO, you don't just have to create text-based content. You can do more videos, you can do podcasting. If you haven't started producing those types of content, make sure you start doing so in 2019. That way, in 2020, you'll see the effects of them and more traffic coming your way. The third thing. Personalization is huge. You're going to start seeing fridges and offline devices start giving you customized advice and marketing campaigns for you. And I can't wait for that. Such as, the June Oven. So you're going to start seeing marketing integrated into these devices which you and I will be able to leverage much more in 2020. My buddy, Yanee from Nextiva, one-third of his sales roughly come from Intercom. I bet you in 2020, more sales will even come from things like live chat. So make sure you add it to your website. Have more sophisticated bots, and make sure you have humans to take it over. So these solutions will start integrating more videos so you can actually interface and communicate with your potential customers. Now, speaking of chat, the next thing that is going to be huge in 2020 is going to be chat bots. Specifically, Facebook Messenger. Whether it's MobileMonkey, ManyChat, whatever platform you decide to use, they're going to be huge in 2020. Sure, in the United States more people may be leveraging, let's say, text messaging from their mobile phone because it's free. But in most countries, that costs money. Hence, WhatsApp is really huge. And once Facebook Messenger starts integrating all these services, chat bots are going to be way bigger than they are today. The sixth thing that I'm really excited for is the internet of things. In other words, smart device marketing. You're going to start seeing way more ways we can monetize and market on smart devices. Whether that's just Alexa, whether that's your mobile phone, whether that's a iPad, it doesn't matter. People are developing more and more technology. I mentioned this a bit earlier in this video, Jetson AI. They're already creating AI technology so people can start selling on things like Alexa devices. But they're not the only ones. And the last tip, and I'm most excited about this one, is Ubersuggest. I can't wait for 2020. In 2019 I've already done a ton of things in Ubersuggest such as, providing free rate tracking, providing a log-in that alerts you when things are good or bad with your SEO. Providing even more key risk suggestions through things like comparisons and questions in a bigger keyword database. But I'm really excited for 2020 because I'm trying to build a tool that does the SEO for you. In other words, it automates a lot of SEO out there so that way you don't have to do it manually anymore.
