In fact, around 5 billion searches happen on Google every single day. It’s also been reported that search engines drive 10 times more traffic to shopping sites than social media. And 72% of consumers who did a local search visited a store within 5 miles. With that said, SEO and PPC are both important. Think about it: search engines are businesses. They need to make money in order to operate. As a result, most, if not all platforms will give premium placements to paying customers. For commercial keywords, the entire fold is covered in ads, making organic results near invisible. A searcher would have to scroll down for a while before even entertaining the thought of going to your page. However, Google doesn’t show ads on every page for every search. There needs to be some sort of commercial intent in order for ads to appear. So, even if you had an infinite budget for PPC, you would not be ranking #1 for every keyword. This is why we have another acronym, SEM, where we can combine the two strategies and truly take our search engine marketing to another level. And in this video, you’ll learn a few strategies on when and why to implement SEO, PPC or both. Timestamps: 1:45 SEO or PPC? ?

Wix vs WordPress vs Squarespace Which One is The Best For SEO

Wix, WordPress, Squarespace. There are so many platforms out there. How do you know which one's the best for SEO? Which one should you use? WordPress is free, Wix cost money Squarespace is also out there. There's just so many options, how do you know which ones to choose from? They're all really popular. Today I'm going to talk about Wix versus WordPress versus Squarespace. Which one is the best for SEO? RESOURCES & LINKS: ____________________________________________ Wix – wix.com WordPress – https://wordpress.org/ Squarespace – https://www.squarespace.com/ Yoast SEO plugin – https://yoast.com/ BuiltWith – https://builtwith.com/ Quora – https://www.quora.com/ ____________________________________________ Before we dive into each of the platforms, let's go over some basic stats that I got from BuiltWith. WordPress currently powers more than 50% of the web. Literally, more than 50% of the web. Wix, according to BuiltWith, they come in second with roughly 7% of all websites and Squarespace, they come in third with over 4% of the websites. Now 8Tracks which is a SEO tool they actually ran an interesting study comparing Wix versus WordPress versus Squarespace. And they were trying to breakdown all right you know which ones drive more traffic and here are some stats that they found out. 46.1% of WordPress domain names get organic traffic against 1.4% of Wix domain names. Now similar Squarespace, they were at roughly 15.1% of search traffic. Now, you're probably thinking, hey Squarespace, Wix, WordPress, doesn't that pretty much answer it? No, and even they weren't trying to say one was better than the other. The data is pretty much inconclusive and the reason being is well, someone who uses WordPress, could know SEO much more and they can be much more technical. While someone whose using Wix, may not really know SEO as well, for example. So you couldn't just compare them right? It wouldn't be an apples to apples comparison. So let's go over each platform. WordPress, it's the most popular one. It's really good if you're SEO savvy because there is just so much flexibility and customization that you can on WordPress that you can't do with other platforms out there. The cool part about WordPress is it's simple in which you just add in plugins. From the Yoast SEO plugin to the all in one SEO pack to broken link checker. It pretty much has plugins that any SEO would need. Support is easy to find because there's so many people who use WordPress. There's support forums, there's videos online. You can find tons of answers even on YouTube. Even on Q and A sites like Quora. They also offer templates, so you can have a website that is already optimized for mobile speed versus one that isn't optimized for mobile speed. And now let's get into some cons. If you download too many plugins one, it could effect your site speed but two, if there not all compatible your site can break as well. You don't necessarily need any technical skill set, but it isn't as simple as drag and dropping compared to some of the other platforms. So in other words, if you want to customize the experience, a little here a little there, you do need to know some code or you need to hire someone to help you out. Now the second platform Wix, if SEO isn't your priority and you just want something that's simple, easy to use, like an easy to use CMS then it's a great solution for you. Now some pros of Wix, it includes an SEO wizard that optimizes your site automatically. That makes it really easy if you have a new website. Now some cons of Wix. The first big con is there's not too much customization of metadata, titles, or URLs. Another big one is a lot of time it takes your site a little bit longer to get indexed and the reason being is some of the Wix based sites they use a lot of AJAX which causes some slow down. Now the third platform, Squarespace. It's good for small, simple sites that don't require anyone to know much about SEO. Some pros, the site offers really pretty designs and of course they also have some nice site architecture built in. They also allow for custom title tag and metadata which is great and it supports functions like XML sitemaps, storewatch.TXC however you can't really edit them so this is kind of a pro and a con. Now let's dive in right into the cons. Indexing pages to Squarespace sometimes can be challenging. ► If you need help growing your business check out my ad agency Neil Patel Digital @ https://neilpateldigital.com/ ►Subscribe: https://goo.gl/ScRTwc to learn more secret SEO tips. ►Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ ►On Instagram: https://instagram.com/neilpatel/ https://youtu.be/iN8zqppelP4 #SEO #NeilPatel #DigitalMarketing

The Social Network That Will Explode in 2020 – Should You Leverage It?

The Social Network That Will Explode in 2020 – Should You Leverage It? | Do you feel like the most popular social networks like Facebook and Instagram are oversaturated? Has your reach gone down, your engagement almost disappeared? Well, there's a new social network in town that's been growing really fast since 2017. And in some months, its app is downloaded more than Facebook and Instagram. It may not be the best option for you to leverage, or it could be. And I'm going to break down whether it is or it isn't for you. Today,I'm going to discuss the social network that'll explode in 2020. And the real question is, should you leverage it? RESOURCES & LINKS: ____________________________________________ TikTok – https://www.tiktok.com/en/ Messenger – https://www.messenger.com/ ByteDance – https://bytedance.com/ ____________________________________________ The Wall Street Journal said TikTok is the third most installed app worldwide. It has 1.2 billion monthly users globally. That's the most downloaded app on the App Store worldwide for first quarter of 2019, followed by YouTube, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger. The Wall Street Journal also reported that the average user spends 45 minutes on that app daily. ByteDance, TikTok's parent company, spent roughly $1 billion in ads, as much as $3 million a day in the last year. Much of that for ads has appeared on traditional social networks, according to The Wall Street Journal. The first thing you should look at is, is my audience there? You're going to observe the same thing happening with other social networks like Facebook and Instagram. First, the dominant demographic is young people. Then, it expands into other age groups and demographics. Depending on your audience and demographics, it may not work for you, at least for now. In other words, if you're going after the younger demographic, then right now it can work for you. If you're going after the older demographic, then you're going to have to wait a bit. Secondly, if being first has always been your competitive advantage, then it may be worth getting on right now. It's impossible to tell whether or not it'll take off for all demographics, for all groups, or if it's going to be an extremely popular social network three years from now. But the trend has been showing that it is growing. So if your competitive advantage is to be the first mover, then I would recommend that you go in there and you start taking advantage. because typically when you get in there early, it's much easier to gain traction, get those followers, get more traffic, and leverage that audience. And you can do it for pennies on the dollar. The third thing you need to look at is, are you able to create the kind of content that people on this platform like? The app's short-form video format lends itself to humor and anything that's a lightning fast visual storytelling. If you have long-form video content, doesn't really work well for this app. Humor out of everything that I've tested or even sarcasm tends to do well. It won't be easy for you to repurpose content from other channels unless this is your natural brand of voice. See, if you look at me, my video content is more serious, educational. I can't just go on TikTok and produce, take the same video I'm doing for YouTube or Facebook or Instagram and then pop it onto TikTok. I would have to create all new content again. But then on the flip side, you see people like the Pauls, right, Logan and Jake Paul. Their content could work extremely well for TikTok without them having to create new content. In other words, they could potentially repurpose. The fourth thing you want to consider, if you're one of those people that loves playing it safe, you'll want to wait a bit and see whether or not TikTok will become mainstream. If time's a commodity, then you can't risk spending tons of time doing this, you know, leveraging TikTok, building that audience, and then find out that it won't take off. I'm one of those people, in which, although I love being early, I can't always afford to be fully in it. So sometimes with me, I may spend a little bit of time on there, but I won't go full-fledge unless I know the platform's going to take off. Look at my Instagram account. Sure, I was on Instagram early, but I didn't spend a lot of time there until I knew it was going to blow up. ► If you need help growing your business check out my ad agency Neil Patel Digital @ https://neilpateldigital.com/ ►Subscribe: https://goo.gl/ScRTwc to learn more secret SEO tips.

SEO Beyond Google: How to Rank On The Best Alternative Search Engine | YouTube SEO

SEO Beyond Google: How to Rank On The Best Alternative Search Engines | YouTube SEO // Google is already the most popular search engine. You already know that. Focusing on Google can drive you a ton of traffic, but do you know there's another search engine that can drive you a ton of traffic and no, it's not Bing. This search engine is so effective I'm getting over 100,000 visitors a month consistently from this search engine. Hi, everyone. Today I'm going to discuss SEO beyond Google, how to rank on the best alternative search engine. RESOURCES & LINKS: ____________________________________________ rev.com Ubersuggest – https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/ Bing – bing.com ____________________________________________ So you're probably wondering, what is this alternative search engine that I'm getting over 100,000 visitors a month and some months I'm getting over 200,000 visitors a month from? Well, it's YouTube. YouTube SEO is totally different than Google. Before I get into how you can rank on YouTube, of course, you know you're going to already have to create videos, but with YouTube, here's the thing, Google takes a long time to decide who's ranking on page one. YouTube, you can rank for a competitive keyword like SEO within 24 to 48 hours at the top. The first tip I have for you is to push the video as hard as possible in the first 24 hours. The big component of YouTube algorithm is the better the video does in the first 24 hours, the better it's going to rank on YouTube. Most people look at YouTube and being like, "Huh. It's probably like Google. If I keep optimizing over time, I can continue to rank higher in the rankings." Eh, not so much. It's more so if you do really well in the first 24 hours, you're going to continually do better in the long haul and your ranks are just going to shoot to the top really fast. The second tip to ranking really well on YouTube is only produced content that you know people will love. And you can end up going on YouTube, see what's worked in the space, what hasn't. You don't want to produce content that people hate because if you're ranking really well on YouTube and for a whole month you produce content that people hate, your overall channel score decreases and you'll find that your rankings, your … the content that's shared through the browse feature suggested feature, it'll all start going down and your YouTube channel will start dwindling. The next tip I have for you is to upload an SRT file on YouTube. You're thinking, "Hey, YouTube can automatically add closed captions. Why do I need to upload an SRT file?" Well, here's the thing. A SRT file tells YouTube that this is what the video is really about. They know that if they use their machine learning bot that yeah, they can translate what your video is on, but they're still could be some errors and it's not perfect. When you upload an SRT file manually, you'll notice that you'll rank higher and you can just go to sites like rev.com, get an SRT file and upload it. Another quick tip for YouTube is to upload SRT files in different languages. YouTube is trying to get more competitive in the United States, but it isn't that competitive overseas yet. It's really popular. So make sure that when you have a video, translate and transcribe it, upload the SRT file. When you do that, your rankings will go up over time, especially in those regions where it's not competitive and it's easy quick traffic. Once you do all of that, I want you to head over to Ubersuggest, type in the keywords that you want to rank for. Now your description shouldn't just be a paragraph. The longer your description is, assuming it's very valuable to the user, what you'll find is you'll rank for more keywords and you can include these keywords in the tags in different places on YouTube, but what I found is the longer your description of the video, the better off you are. And last but not least, whatever your video's on, make sure you say that word within your video. So if my videos on SEO, I will continue to say SEO within my video. If my video is on search engines, I'll continually say the word search engines. If it's on dog food, you say the word dog food, whatever it may be. YouTube looks for what you're saying, not just from the SRT file, but they try to decipher it on their own. If you're saying the right keywords multiple times, think of keyword density, they know that that video's on that topic. You're much more likely to rank higher, as well. ► If you need help growing your business check out my ad agency Neil Patel Digital @ https://neilpateldigital.com/ ►Subscribe: https://goo.gl/ScRTwc to learn more secret SEO tips. ►Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ ►On Instagram: https://instagram.com/neilpatel/ https://youtu.be/SESao9ByF2U #SEO #NeilPatel #Youtube

Before we begin the video, we want to be clear. Negotiation or persuasion isn’t about tricking people. These are tools to communicate more effectively so you don’t come off too strong in your first email. Now, a short definition. Negotiation and persuasion are two completely different things. According to Professor Bontempo from Columbia Business School, negotiation is a mutual exchange of resources for a mutual benefit. Meaning, you’re coming to some form of an agreement. Persuasion on the other hand is more about changing someone’s mind. It’s subtle, follows a gradual process consisting of small movements. And the idea is to make your end goal their idea. It generally takes a lot more time, but it’s free. Now, when you’re building links, some links will come fast, others within a medium timeframe, and others can take months. And in this video, you will learn how these two techniques fit in those categories and how to know when to switch from one to the other to improve your chances of getting a backlink. How to Do Marketing In Over Saturated Social Networks (WITHOUT Paid Ads)

How to Do Marketing In Over Saturated Social Networks (WITHOUT Paid Ads) | Social media reach is decreasing all across the board. Facebook's organic reach is pretty much already a joke. And now people are talking about the changes that are happening on Instagram, LinkedIn cause it's all dropping engagement and reach. Look if you want to succeed you're probably wondering, what should you do? And you know what? There is something that you should do. Today I'm going to break down how to do marketing in over-saturated social networks without paid ads. RESOURCES & LINKS: ____________________________________________
Buffer – https://buffer.com/
Hootsuite – hootsuite.com
Ask Gary Vee – http://askgaryveeshow.com/
____________________________________________ The first tip I have for you is, offer overwhelming amounts of value. It's all about giving more value than all the other players. Creating more content for free. More videos. More audio. Going above and beyond. Responding to every comment. Helping people out. Go into groups participating. In other words, you're pretty much-doing things like live consulting calls. Like when you go live on these social networks and you're helping people out, that's almost like consulting. The second thing you need to do is, start scaling without sacrificing your ability to test new content. If you notice that some forms of content perform well, well figure out what ways you can scale it up and produce it faster. Create a process. Figure out a basic template for creating these kinds of images, these videos, these kinds of contents, text space that people want to see. At the same time, you always want to constantly test new forms to find out what's the next thing that's going to work. Cause you'll find that even if it works right now, it's not going to work too well, three-four-six months from now. The third tip I have for you is invested in automation. At least when it comes to scheduling your posts. If you can shave two to three or four hours a week, it can be used to create better content and test new things. If you don't schedule your content, and you want to do it manually, you'll always have to be in front of a computer. That's really inefficient. You can use tools like Buffer, Hootsuite. These will all help make the scaling much more efficient because you can end up scheduling your content when it gets pushed out. Now one platform I wouldn't recommend scheduling my content is Facebook. They hate it and when you do it using a third-party tool, you'll get crushed. Now if you want to schedule your content using Facebook's own tools, which you can, you're fine. The fourth tip I have for you is, use different media formats. And figure out what lengths work best. See on some social sites, video works really well. I tested video a lot on Twitter, didn't work that well. But video on Facebook crushes it. Video on LinkedIn? Crushes it. Quotes through on Twitter work extremely well. The fifth tip I have for you is, Cross-post your content ideas. IG story posts, Facebook Live posts, Facebook group posts, ask me anything on Instagram stories, Facebook Live ask me anything sessions. This will help you get more ideas. When the majority of the people ask you to do something, that means people want more of it and you should do it. The sixth tip I have for you, actively build connections with other influential players in your space and niche. By doing this you can cross-promote. You don't actually need to pay these people. You can just keep engaging with them. Help promote their content. They'll help promote your content. You can create these little social rings. And only do this when you can add value. The seventh tip I have for you is, use video more. Over the next few years, you're going to see video taking off. It's already becoming popular. But it's going to be the mainstream or main format that these social networks want. They're trying to compete with all the TV stations, the reality TV. That way they want you to push video harder. Tip number eight. Offer users the ability to create content with you. So take live calls. Ask Gary Vee is a great example of this. He'll take live calls and use their creating content with them. Now it doesn't create more engagement but it's helping create content without him having to come up with ideas. You can do snapshots of your interactions. Dice it up into small content. ► If you need help growing your business check out my ad agency Neil Patel Digital @ https://neilpateldigital.com/ ►Subscribe: https://goo.gl/ScRTwc to learn more secret SEO tips.

Will Small Businesses Still Profit From Facebook Ads in 2020?

Do you feel that the number of responses you're getting for your Facebook ads is decreasing each and every single day? Are you finding it harder to convert people from your Facebook ads into paying customers than you did two years ago? If you think it's hard now, it is going to keep getting harder and harder. Today I'm going to discuss, will small businesses still be able to profit from Facebook ads in 2020? RESOURCES & LINKS: ____________________________________________
Why Your Facebook Ads Don’t Work (and How to Make Them Profitable) : https://youtu.be/HYmWww4e3Is
____________________________________________ Now before we dive into the details on how small businesses can still do well in 2020, let me go over some basic stats. Facebook has over seven million active advertisers, that's according to Facebook's Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg.
Active users 2.4 billion. Facebook has only 342 active users per advertiser. Not only are more people promoting ads, but it's getting harder and more expensive to get clicks. Now when you look at the cost in clicks Facebook ads CPC on news feeds have gotten more expensive this year. In 2008 Q2 as of roughly 0.43¢, in Q2 of 2019 0.64¢. And the CTR of news feed ads has also decreased. In Q2 of 2018 it was 2.24%, in Q2 of 2019 it was 1.20%. According to Instapage the average Facebook ad converts roughly 9.21% across all industries. You would have to pay on average $64 to get nine conversions. Conversion doesn't necessarily mean a sale either in this context, it could be just collecting an email right? So it doesn't necessarily mean you're making a positive ROY. So the real question that comes to mind is, hey you're a small business, how can you still profit from Facebook, even though ads in many cases are getting less clicks and is getting more expensive. Well number one don't go for profit in the first contact with a prospect. It used to be that you would just put ads in front of people, you would send them to your product or service page, try to get them to convert, and boom you're making money. And that's expensive, a great way that we generate sales now and we found this to be much cheaper is, we first take an ad on Facebook drive them to content our educational piece, educate them. Secondly use retargeting for your ads for really qualified prospects. So what I mean by this is, one thing we've done to generate so much revenue from Facebook, this is our highest ROY converting campaign. When someone visits a checkout page and they don't buy, we create a video that shows them what it would be like if they were a customer. Now if our main offering was using logic to convince them to buy, our video will use emotions. Why you may be wondering? Well if they didn't convert from logic in the first place, sending them a remarketing campaign or video using logic again probably won't work, so we do the opposite. If our landing page is try selling through emotions, our remarketing video uses logic. In addition to that we make sure we add in upsells and downsells, which increases the LTV, which allows you to spend more money on Facebook. The third tip I have for you is use video ads. Video ads are way cheaper to expose your brand to people because even if they don't convert right away you're getting your brand across, and as they say in marketing the rule of seven, the way you build a brand is having someone see and engage with your brand seven times. If you use video you're going to get way more engagement for the price because Facebook really wants to push video ads over text-based ads. Fourth use lookalike audiences, once you have people that are converting, use the 1% lookalike audience on Facebook. Fifth I want you to test different creatives more often. You'll be surprised at the difference in performance when you rotate up your creatives at least once a week. Heck when I run some of my own campaigns, we're rotating up creatives two to three times a week on the low-end and on the high-end sometimes rotating up creatives daily. It's that effective by just cranking out so many creatives, you'll find that they don't have as much fatigue and your ROY is better. Next I want you to keep your ads fresh, it's not just about the, hey here's what my banner is, here's what my creative is. Next I want you to monitor your ad's frequency. If people keep seeing your ads multiple times, you're either not reaching new people, or people keep seeing your ads without converting. Those two factors will make your ad score decrease and make your cost increase. ► If you need help growing your business check out my ad agency Neil Patel Digital @ https://neilpateldigital.com/ ►Subscribe: https://goo.gl/ScRTwc to learn more secret SEO tips.
